Checking Out the Solar Eclipse

On Monday, the buildings on the University of Denver campus emptied out as students, faculty and staff stepped outside to check out the solar eclipse. It was the first total eclipse visible in the United States since 1991 and the first total eclipse to travel from coast to coast in 99 years.

While the sun was not entirely blocked by the moon in Colorado, the 92 percent coverage was nonetheless impressive. Here’s a look at what the event looked like at DU on Monday.
