Biden will join guests at annual Korbel Dinner

Vice President Joe Biden will be in Colorado this September for the annual Korbel Dinner. He will deliver the keynote address to a crowd of more than 750 people. “We are honored, and absolutely thrilled, to welcome Vice President Biden to DU and the Josef Korbel School of International Studies," says Ambassador Christopher Hill, the school's dean. “He is an esteemed international leader who, for decades, has been at the forefront of shaping U.S. foreign policy on the world’s most pressing issues.”

The Korbel Dinner, which is in its 19th year, will be held on Thursday, Sept. 15. at the Ritchie Center on the DU campus. Media who have RSVP’d are welcome to attend.

The Korbel Dinner serves as an opportunity to honor individuals whose leadership and commitment embody the goals established by the school’s founder, Josef Korbel. The dinner also benefits the school’s programs, scholarships and centers, which are designed to serve students and the community at large.

The Korbel Dinner has attracted many prominent speakers in previous years, including Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and President George W. Bush.
